Everyone that you speak to has probably got a couple of things that they want to achieve in life. Setting goals and achieving them, is good for us. Mentally, physically, emotionally and even spiritually, we thrive when we meet our goals.
The road to personal development and achieving what we feel is our true potential isn’t always easy, but there is one thing for sure - there are some goals that are worth the effort and the sacrifices we might need to make to reach them.

How do you set personal goals?
It is a matter of looking at your life now, and thinking about how you would improve upon what you already have.
What is it that you want out of life? While most people will initially joke - to be a millionaire! The truth is usually far more simple. It becomes things like having the space to create, having more energy, advancing in their career.
So when it comes to goals, which ones are worth the effort?
Learning
There isn’t a time that learning will go out of fashion or be something that you can’t grow from. You might choose to learn things that will advance the career you are in now, or you might choose to learn something outside of that.
You might even choose to simply pursue something you are interested in, like breeds of dogs, the history of Egypt, or why everyone gets worried about a retrograde.
There are many resources around to help you achieve these goals. You need to decide how much time, effort and, in some cases, the cash you are willing to swap in exchange for it.
Learning is a goal that is always worth the effort.
Health
Health can be a tricky goal because what works for you might not work for someone else. It is a very personal journey to work on your health. While you may look healthy on the outside, only you know that you don’t feel right. Or that there is something else going on.
Your health covers physical, mental and emotional. All of these need to be taken into consideration. So what is the goal? To work on your mental health and chat with a therapist? What about increasing your stamina and fitness by cycling using one of the modern e-bikes?
Or perhaps you just want to cut out the sugar for a while.
Give yourself a short health audit - what could you improve, and how will you do it?
Peace
A big one, maybe, but peace is the goal for many people. Where is it in your life that you feel the most uneasy? Are there work conflicts that never seem to be resolved? Perhaps a person you know you need to distance yourself from in your life - because they just feel negative and draining.
What does your personal peace look like, and what do you feel you need to do to get it?
If you are looking for a range of goals, this great list can help you along: New Year's Resolutions.
