#LOCKDOWNLEARNING

Heart Balloons in the Sky

If lockdown has given me nothing else, it has been an opportunity to take some time to learn some new things!

I've spoken about how weird this whole period has been and I am going to be real. There are days when I am not exactly the most productive and that is ok too. You don't have to do anything other than survive lockdown but for me, some of the downtime can be boring!

The title to this post probably sounds like I am taking Swahili for beginners when I am not, but I do think it's good to keep the cogs turning and spend time doing something you enjoy.

Here's what I have been up to!

Calligraphy for Beginners and Pro Create

Who knows why, I just really enjoy pretty writing and it's surprisingly relaxing! I have a feeling this skill might come back to haunt me some day if anyone fancies hand written invites at any point. I am also trying to teach myself calligraphy on Pro Create so I can learn the skill digitally too!

Nail Art

I spend far too long scrolling Instagram looking at Nail Art from my favourite nail technicians so when I saw some were hosting live nail art lessons on instagram I thought I would give it a whirl! So far I have done a class with Amy Guy and By Sarah and learned some new techniques. I have been maintaining some degree of beauty upkeep at home and doing my nails but coming together with 150 other nail keen beans has actually been super fun!

My next one is Tie Dye with Amy Guy next week which I am VERY excited for!

DIY

DIY is probably another clickbait kinda title but I have definitely taken more time to pull some finishing touches together for my flat. I am beyond giddy that my bathroom is booked in to be installed and my kitchen is finally finished bar some shelves! My list of other things to be done is still pretty long but it feels great to have 2 rooms which are important finished or in progress. Now it's just the wardrobe and roof terrace planning!

Crafts

I have a macrame number ready and waiting to be made... I will post pics when it's done!!

Have you learned any new skills on Lockdown?
