A few weeks back I was invited to Harvey Nichols for a 30 minute pick me up facial at ESPA*!

And, calm is what I absolutely was after my treatment! ESPA have a super cute treatment room off Harvey Nichol's Beauty Hall and it is really cosy and relaxing. I have been suffering with my anxiety a lot over the summer so this was the perfect way to destress and take time for me to feel really good about myself and relax.

One of the unique selling points of ESPA products are the various scents available. We started my treatment with a scent test to establish what scents I was most drawn to, it was not really a surprise that I selected citrus based products and then we set about settling down on the bed ready for my facial. I had an amazing exfoliation along with really pushing some hydration back into my skin.

The therapist looks at your skin under a blue light and is able to see where the drier spots are - I already knew that in between my eyebrows and forehead was dehydrated but it was interesting to see that my under eyes were really quite dry. I have not been using an eye cream (bad blogger!!!!) so that is something I have now addressed to ensure I don't give myself wrinkles by not looking after my skin.

It was honestly a dreamy treatment. I sometimes get a bit claustrophobic with facials and I have quite sensitive skin so too many lotions and potions can irritate it. The 30 minutes was a perfect length of time and I left with lovely fresh skin rather than looking too flushed which is what usually happens! I felt absolutely great and could finish off my shopping without feeling self conscious for not wearing any makeup!
