When I get invited to events where there is cake the likelihood of my attendance does increase somewhat, but make that cake be from Hey Little Cupcake and we have a dead cert...

Last week The Hut invited me to decorate cupcakes at Hey Little Cupcake's Cake Emporium in Spinningfields along with some other lovely bloggers from the North West.

I have frequented Hey Little Cupcake previously so I was au fait with their amazing selection, godamn adorable cafe area decked out in pretty pink gingham and a cake scented ambiance that makes you just want to sit and inhale deeply for as long as possible.

We mastered the art of sugar rose making, piping and filling cupcakes with a delicious filling. I apparently unearthed a talent for making sugar roses and let me tell you it is the most satisfying process EVER.

I have mentioned to all my gal pals how fun this class was and I will 100% be back to do it again as it is so so fun!!!

I was also delighted to win the cake decorating challenge, I'm often very lucky but never usually win anything that requires any skill being displayed.. !
