MINT VELVET

I think it's safe to say winter is well and truly on it's way so when I was invited to check out the new Mint Velvet store on King Street in Manchester I was pretty excited to see what winter warmers were on offer.

As you can see from the snaps above, the store is absolutely gorgeous. I have only ever been in the Mint Velvet Concession at House of Fraser so it was lovely to see so much of the stock in the flesh!

Mint Velvet style is very 'me', it's luxe pieces at the higher price end of the high street, quality, attention to detail and beautiful fabrics, all in muted, wear with anything colours.

I've always been a lover of blacks, greys, neutrals and dark jewel colours so I was like a kid in a candy shop when I looked round the store. I was drawn to this grey sweater/shirt combo piece, it's like an off the shoulder slouchy sweater that will look amazing with some black shorts, tights and boots when it gets a little colder.

I also fell in love with this dark green fur trimmed scarf, each winter my wardrobe always is accessorised by a lil faux fur action and I can't wait to bundle up in this gorgeous scarf! I could have gone wild whilst in there, I love that the garments are trend lead, a bit glittery and suitable for those of us who have hit the big 3-0.

I also had a little look online at what's new and now have a wishlist as long as my arm.. this will follow in a separate post! If you are heading to King Street soon then definitely pop in to Mint Velvet, you won't regret it but your bank balance might :)
