Last night I attended an open evening at Kara's Blow Dry Bar in Manchester.

Having visited Kara's myself a good few times and been super impressed with the speed and service, I was excited to head down and see what hair-masterpieces were whipped up!

Kara's is situated on John Dalton Street in Manchester (a 2 minute walk from Kendals/House of Fraser) and offers blow dries and makeup! The Blow Dries are £18 for natural hair and £24 with extensions and there are a range of looks you can opt for.

Guests were treated to canapes from 47 King Street West, Sweets from Truly Scrumptious, Hair Products from TIGI and Make Overs using Motives products by Artiste Creative.

Kara's Blow Dries are probably the best I have ever had (and trust me I have sampled a few!!) they are super quick, last for a good few days and I think very good value for money. When I had my very long locks, they were the only place that could do anything with them and with hair as thick as mine, I consider it quite a talent to be able to tame it!

Artiste Creative were demonstrating Motives by Loren Ridinger products and some of the looks they created were incredible! Newly launched in the UK, Motives is the creation of american entrepreneurs, Loren and JR Ridinger. The product line is made by a number of manufacturers, so their claim to have formulated the best of the best in each product type has been made a reality.

I have had the opportunity to have a play around with the products and I am really very impressed with what I have seen so far. Check out the hashtag #motivesmavens on Instagram and be prepared to be blown away by some of the work undertaken by MUAs using the products!

I look at it as, if it is good enough for the Kardashian's, then it is most definitely good enough for me!
