Exciting news!
So, as some of you might be aware if you follow me on Twitter, I have been out and about gallavanting with the Manchester Fashion Week lot, attending meetings, hearing top secret info about what is lined up and generally getting excited!
So, it gives me great pleasure to be able to FINALLY confirm the dates and venue of Manchester Fashion Week 2014!
The main event will be a series of fashion shows spanning four days over the Bank Holiday Easter weekend.
Comprising of independent fashion designers, graduates and leading names in the fashion world, Manchester Fashion Week (#MCRFW14) will take place over 18th- 21st April at Hallé St Peters, Ancoats, during which the best of what Manchester has to offer in fashion will be on show, putting the city firmly on the fashion map.
Among the headline partners already confirmed are the Radisson Blu Edwardian Hotel, Manchester and The Milton Club who are lined up to host the after-show parties during the four days. Models for the shows are being provided by Manchester-based agency, PHA Models, with hair team supplied by Redken.
Anna Gledson, Event Director at Manchester Fashion Week (#MCRFW14) said:
"We’re really thrilled to be back and we’re already receiving a great response from others in the city who are equally excited. We’ll be showcasing some of Manchester’s hidden fashion gems, revealing some incredible undiscovered talent and giving these young designers a platform to elevate their designs within the fashion world. Manchester Fashion Week (#MCRFW14) is all about providing opportunity, and going forward we hope to give others the chance to get into the fashion industry, starting right here in Manchester.”
Martin Glyn, Project and Events Manager at Hallé St Peters, commented:
"We are looking forward to hosting Manchester Fashion Week (#MCRFW14) at Hallé St Peter's this Easter. Ancoats has always been central to the cotton industry in Manchester, and indeed the UK, so it feels entirely fitting that this year's event should be staged here. It will be the first event of it's type in the space and we look forward to welcoming the designers, models and all of the guests.”
Anna heads up the team, consisting of ten employees, both full time and on an intern basis, based in central Manchester. Schedules and further sponsorship deals will be announced over the coming weeks.
Tickets for each of the shows will be available from TicketWeb from March. For more information on tickets, visit www.ticketweb.co.uk or contact info@mcrfw.com
